A summer of fun in Milton Keynes as hundreds enjoy outdoor experiences!
Over the summer holidays, more than 250 people turned out to enjoy the Summer of Fun event, delivered by master developers Urban&Civic in partnership with The Parks Trust and Whitehouse Community Council.
The event, held in the Whitehouse Park Play Area on Longhorn Drive, encompassed family-friendly activities including rabbit and guinea pig encounters with Animal Edge, a magic show with Kazam Parties, arts and crafts with Community Action MK, plus bug hunting, leaf rubbing, a scavenger hunt, play equipment and games including Four in a Row.
The animal encounter, magic show, bug hunting and leaf rubbing proved particular hits, with attendees praising the relaxed atmosphere of the event. Jordan Payne, Communications & Partnerships Manager at Urban&Civic, said: “We very much enjoyed putting on this community event.
The strong turnout from local people and the collaboration between all organisations helped to make it a great success. We wanted to bring the community together for some free fun during the summer holidays, and we were very happy to see so many people getting involved.”
The Events & Community Engagement Assistants at The Parks Trust said: "Partnering with Urban&Civic and the Whitehouse Community Council, to host this event, was a true success.
We are delighted to see so many local residents coming together to enjoy our shared green spaces. Beyond celebrating our community, the event provided an excellent platform to highlight the vital work of The Parks Trust in maintaining these parks."
