Honey secured her place with SA Neon, one of the UK's leading cheerleading teams, based in Wolverhampton. Reaching the World Championships is one of the highest achievements in competitive cheerleading, with only the very best teams receiving an invitation to compete.

The commitment required to reach this level is significant. Honey travels to Wolverhampton twice a week for training, spending around 10 hours travelling every week. To support her ambitions, both of her parents have changed their working hours to fit around the demanding training schedule.

The cost of representing her team on the world stage is also substantial, with around £2,500 needed just to get Honey to Florida, before food and other expenses are taken into account.

Despite both parents working full-time, the family is now fundraising to help cover the costs.

Honey's dad will be taking on the Snowdonia Marathon this October, widely regarded as one of the toughest marathons in the UK, to raise sponsorship towards the trip.

Honey is also playing her part by taking on her own challenge, completing five back tucks every day for 50 consecutive days to raise funds while demonstrating the dedication and determination that helped her reach the World Championships.

The family hopes the local community will get behind Honey as she prepares to represent both her team and Milton Keynes on the international stage.
