Charity Focus MK with MK Charities: Al's Pals

Today we focus on Al's Pals, a charity run by Al's daughter, Suzanne, is an organisation that provides a service to adult cancer patients. Alan, Suzanne's dad is the reason this all started, he was going through cancer treatment at our Milton Keynes University Hospital.

He noticed that throughout his treatment, although he was surrounded by family, he still felt very lonely and often spoke of a 'buddy' support and helped him where he felt things were missing. It is his legacy to have a cancer buddy scheme like this and with this passion, Suzanne and the support of Macmillan Cancer Support, MKUH, Al's Pals was born.

We're celebrating Al's Pals one year anniversary with a Night At The Musicals and today is the last chance to get your tickets! Celebrating them coming up to a year, we invite you to join us for a 'Night At The Musicals' all in support of Al's Pals. "The charity welcomes West End Musical Star Zoë Curlett, a much sought-after and highly acclaimed Soprano who has played leading roles in The Phantom of The Opera and Les Miserables, performed at the Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Variety Performance, sung with the London and Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and was even invited to perform in a gala performance for HRH Queen Elizabeth at the Liverpool Empire theatre.

Zoë’s leading performance in Carousel with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, can be heard on BBC Radio and she’s in the 25th Anniversary production of Les Miserables at the O2 and features on the Oscar winning soundtrack from the movie.

Adept at any musical style from jazz to opera, Zoe has sung all over the world in cabarets, concerts, private and corporate events, so we are delighted and honoured to have her perform as our Star of Night at the Musicals!"
