Milton Keynes Council is offering free and secure bicycle parking stands to businesses in MK to help them reduce emissions by encouraging more employees to cycle to work.
Interested businesses should get in touch with PWLC Projects who will work with them on an application, which includes a staff travel survey and site audit. Email contact@pwlcprojects.com or speak to Jamie Stephens on 07736 286 277.
Applications must be received by the end of April.
Businesses may also qualify for a grant of up to £1,000 for new measures that encourage staff to use more sustainable modes of transport, or install facilities such as covered parking, public bike pumps, repair stations, or charging points for e-bikes.
Cycling can have a positive impact on health and mental wellbeing. Many people have taken up cycling during the pandemic, and bike sales rose by 63%.
Also on offer from MK Council:
Bikeability cycle training courses, to help staff become more confident on bikes
Loans of green eCargo bikes to businesses
Access to free bikes for MK residents who are unemployed or on a low income
