Local Singer Songwriter Jamie Stimpson Set To Release Debut Solo Single This Friday

It was around 5 years ago that Jamie Stimpson was performing throughout Milton Keynes aswell as the UK in his duo JSMV but now he is back, ready to help Music in Milton Keynes shine.

With many successes under their belts, including winning the 'Best Original Artist' award at the South East Entertainment Awards, Jamie is now back but this time, going solo.

Jamie is back with a fresh new look, a fresh new sound and a huge motivation to stamp his mark within the industry and he hopes to help put Milton Keynes on the map with his music.

'So Lost' will be the first single Jamie releases and he explains where it began.

''The Covid pandemic has been a real eye opener for people in so many ways. For me, it has given me a chance to reflect on so much. I used the time to focus on me, developing my passions and rebuilding myself ready for when normality resumes.''

Jamie believes that his supporters from yesteryear will not be expecting what's about to come but he is excited for the reaction.

''This is a whole new musical experience for me. The past is the past and today I just focus on the future. I am fully immersed into the world of lyrics and feeling, whereas before, I wanted to make 'a banger.' The song So Lost captures the feelings and thoughts of how the majority of people have felt throughout 2020 and moving in to 2021. It’s a very honest and anyone that listen to it should connect with it, in one way or another.''

Jamie has teamed up with another local musical name in Zaheer, who himself has been featured on BBC Introducing, played on Radio 1 and 1xtra. He's also performed at Reading / Leeds Festival with the BBC, so together, they are hoping to emulate those successes and more.

Jamies partner in JSMV was Alfie Vee, who may have taken a backseat in performing, but is still heavily involved in Jamie's journey in production and engineering.

''I have worked with Alfie extensively in the past, we know each other well and we both understand each other’s quirks. This time, we had no expectations, we let the music lead the way and it made the process seamless. It was my first time working with Zaheer on a project and again, the 3 of us together clicked. We all have strengths that played a part in the project coming together. It's been a great experience, especially under difficult Covid circumstances.''

So Lost is set to be released on all major online platforms on Friday 26th February.

An alternative piano version is also being released on the same day which was played and recorded by Sam Wray, another local musician.
