Friday 12th November sees the return of centre:mk’s much loved Santa Parade and Christmas light switch on event.
After last year’s lockdown rules meant the parade had to be cancelled, this year’s parade is highly anticipated and set to be a wonderful free evening full of entertainment for all the family, with Santa making his way through the centre to declare his grotto open as centre:mk comes alive with twinkling festive lights and decorations.
Guests are invited to City Square, outside Marks and Spencer from 4.45pm where they can enjoy entertainment including music from local band ‘Stencil Pencils’ who shot to fame in 2020 as ‘The World's Youngest Asperger’s Band!', counting Ed Sheeran and members of the Royal Family as fans.
Some of the cast of Milton Keynes Theatre’s pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk will also be joining in the fun, culminating in the arrival of Santa himself on the shopping centre roof! Santa will then get into his sleigh and guests will be able to follow his parade inside, along the mall to Middleton Hall where he will open this year’s enchanting ‘Peter Rabbit™’ themed grotto.
Centre Director Kevin Duffy said, “The centre:mk Santa Parade is a highlight in our calendar and marks the start of the magical festive season. This year we know that families, more than ever, are really excited to celebrate Christmas and so we hope that this event will create many magical memories for everyone who attends.”
The centre:mk Santa Parade is free to attend, whilst tickets are available to purchase to meet Santa and experience the Peter Rabbit™ Grotto online at centremk.com
