The Parks Trust are reminding people to take their litter home in an attempt to help keep wildlife safe and our community clean.
The Parks Trust posted on Facebook saying,
''If you are visiting your local parks, please remember to take your litter home!
Rubbish left on the floor can have a negative effects on wildlife, such as
- Shrews climb into bottles where they get trapped and die - Hedgehogs are affected by litter and they’re a declining species in the UK - Waterfowl can swallow plastic which accumulates in their stomach and eventually kills them
If the bin is full, please take your litter home!
