The Met Office has issued a Yellow Alert for thunderstorms for the MK area from 6pm Wednesday 16 June until Saturday 19 June.
High amounts of rain may fall in a short time which could cause localised flooding as road drains reach their full capacity to cope with the surface water.
Highways officers along with service provider, Ringway will be checking for any localised flooding and if needed, will close any roads that are unsafe for vehicles. More information can be found on our Drains, Gullies and Flooding section on our website.
