

New law brings better rights for renters in Milton Keynes
Lib Dem councillors in Milton Keynes have welcomed confirmation that key parts of the new Renters’ Rights Act will come into force on 1 May 2026, which will give thousands of renters across the city stronger protections and greater security. From 1 May 2026, the new law will: Ban Section 21 “no fault” evictions meaning landlords can’t evict good tenants without valid reason.
