Chicken Run: Three Generations Cycle Throughout MK Raising Money for Diabetes UK

A Grandfather, Son and Grandson have challenged themselves to cover 950 miles on their bikes to help raise money for Diabetes UK.

Jon Paul 49 told us that they are trying to cover the distance of Lands End to John O Groats on their bikes throughout the roads and paths of Milton Keynes.

His father is 74 and son is 17, so the fitness levels and challenge is very different for all of them, who are sticking together as a tight team to complete the challenge.

Jon told us, ''We would like to raise as much money as possible and had an initial target of £1000 but we have already met that thanks to some very generous donors so we are keen to push on now to help raise more money for a charity close to our hearts.''

''We are doing the challenge as both my Father, mother and I have Diabetes (I am insulin dependent) and wanted to raise awareness of what diabetes UK do, and raise money along the way.''

You may see the three of them riding around MK dressed as chickens, bringing much joy to peoples faces. If you see them, be sure to give them a wave or a beep!

Good luck to the Three Amigos! You are doing an amazing job!
