CHILDREN’S REMEMBRANCE PARADE RETURNS TO MILTON KEYNES

Schools from across Milton Keynes will meet on Friday 11th November to remember the end of the First World War and to commemorate those who lost their lives then and in subsequent conflicts.

Young people in attendance will walk together along Jonathans, Coffee Hall, before gathering at the Woughton war memorial for the laying of wreaths, a minute’s silence for the fallen, and a short service.

Dignitaries and members of the armed forces and emergency services, as well as faith leaders, will also attend the parade in which over a thousand children took part in 2019.

Councillor Donna Fuller, Leader of Woughton Community Council – organisers of the parade - said:

“We are really look forward to welcoming all the children again after an enforced 2-year break. The Children’s Parade is a poignant event that brings our community together to remember the sacrifices made by people of all backgrounds and faiths in conflicts.

Our council is very proud to continue this tradition, alongside our partners at Coffee Hall Resident’s Association, and to offer this opportunity for community reflection and education.”
