Milton Keynes Council has led a day of community activities to help brighten city centre neighbourhoods and provide face-to-face support for local residents.

MK Council teams were joined on Silbury Boulevard, North Ninth and Tenth Streets in Central Milton Keynes by a number of other local agencies including Thames Valley Police, Bucks Fire and Rescue, Connections and Mears, bringing together more than 30 professionals.
The Council and its partners were on-hand throughout the day on Thursday 3 February offering face-to-face support, answering people’s questions and led a city centre neighbourhood litter pick involving local residents, which resulted in more than eight bags of rubbish.
Cllr Lauren Townsend, Cabinet Member for the Public Realm with responsibility for Community Safety said: “We were pleased be out alongside our local partners providing lots of practical help and advice for city centre residents. We want residents to feel safe and know that support is there for them. I’d like to thank everybody involved.”
