MK’s most popular park has got you covered this half term with outdoor fun for all ages and budgets, including the epic Treetop Extreme which will be open throughout the holiday.
So, what’s on for kids in need of a break after six weeks of short days and school routine?
Treetop Extreme is now booking for every weekend in February and every single day of half term too. The incredible course is recognised as one of the most challenging in the region but fear not - it offers three different levels to suit a range of ages and abilities. For the most daring, the experience ends with the 13m Treetop Drop onto a giant orange bullseye! Prices from £12 per child and £20 per adult. www.willenlake.org.uk/treetop
Discover Archery sessions will take place three times during half-term on 15, 18 and 19 February. The highly rated activity promises 90 minutes of fun instruction with expert coaches in a peaceful, forested area just a few minutes’ walk from Willen Lake. Price is £30 per person and booking is essential. www.willenlake.org.uk/archery
Pedalo Hire lets you choose a fantastic craft (think dragons, swans and unicorns!) and take it onto the water. No booking required – just walk up to reception. Price is £20 for 40 minutes.
The City’s Largest Free Play Area guarantees glowing cheeks and big smiles with tonnes of brilliant equipment to mess about on.
Walking and Cycling Routes are always a favourite with families who visit Willen Lake. The circular route around Willen Lake South is 3km and ideal for a walk or cycle. As you pass, look out for beautiful wintery scenes on the water and in the woodlands!
For drinks, cakes and snacks once the fun is done, Benugo Bar & Kitchen is located inside the Willen Lake Water Sports Centre and open 9am to 4pm every day.
