Yesterday, two people from Milton Keynes made the effort to do some 'essential' shopping in Costco, Coventry.
West Midland Police were on patrol in Coventry City Centre when the pair were stopped and questioned as to what they were doing. They claimed that they were out for an essential shop until the officers found out they had travelled 50 miles up the M1 from Milton Keynes.
The essential shopping items were none other than washing up liquid and water.
Quite obviously, the police were not impressed and they issued fines to the pair £200 each for non-essential travel.
