FURTHER CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR SLEEPING BEAUTY IN MILTON KEYNES AS PANTO LEGEND CHRISTOPHER BIGGINS JOINS THE CAST

CHRISTOPHER JOINS PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED ALEXANDRA BURKE, RICHARD CADELL AND SOOTY AND CERI DUPREE  


Milton Keynes Theatre and Crossroads Pantomimes, the world’s biggest pantomime producer, previously announced chart-topping superstar Alexandra Burke, TV and theatre star Richard Cadell with his lovable friends Sooty and Sweep, and sensational cabaret artist Ceri Dupree will star in this year’s pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, running from Sat 5 Dec 2026 to Sun 10 Jan 2027.


Today Thursday 21 May, the theatre announced further casting for the show, with pantomime legend Christopher Biggins set to play The Diva of Dreams.


Christopher Biggins has graced our screens for over thirty years as an actor, humourist, writer and national treasure. A familiar face across BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, Christopher has appeared multiple TV shows over the years, including iconic roles in I, Claudius and Poldark, and winning ITV1’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and being crowned King of the Jungle.


He’s had an illustrious career spanning theatre, television and film, however best loved is his annual panto tradition, where his legendary dame performances have entertained families across the country for years.


On his casting, Christopher Biggins said:

“For more than 60 incredible years, pantomime has filled me with pure joy, and the excitement of stepping on stage still feels just as thrilling as it did the very first time. This year, I’m especially excited to be taking on a brand new role as The Diva of Dreams, and I simply can’t wait to share the magic with Milton Keynes audiences”

Sleeping Beauty runs from Sat 5 Dec 2026 to Sun 10 Jan 2027 and will make all your dreams come true!
