Great Linford Stone Wall Restoration Underway

Works have begun to restore the stone wall at the Round Pond at Great Linford Manor Park!

The Parks Trust are stabilising the loose stone and patching in freshly quarried Blisworth limestone.

The weathered stones appear grey because they are coated with a pale deposit from 250 years underwater!

By patching in this way it’ll be clear what is original and what has been added later, but this will all be underwater when the pond refills.

The Parks Trust are overseeing the #NationalLotteryHeritageFund project which has seen huge restoration works carried out at Great Linford Manor Park.
