Inspired by nature: Free live art competition comes to Great Linford Manor Park

Creativity will take centre stage this summer as The Parks Trust invites artists of all ages and abilities to take part in the MK Landscape Artist Quest - a free, live outdoor art competition set in the inspiring surroundings of Great Linford Manor Park.

The event, on Saturday 13 June, will see participants creating original artwork on site, drawing inspiration from the park’s landscape, heritage and natural beauty. Open to college students, local artists, families and creatives of all levels, Milton Keynes Landscape Artist Quest promises a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere celebrating artistic expression in all its forms.

Artists can work in any 2D medium, including drawing, painting and mixed media, and are encouraged to find their own spot within the park to create throughout the afternoon. Finished pieces will be submitted for judging by 4pm. Artists wishing to enter the competition must register in advance via theparkstrust.com/artistquest

All ages are welcome, with children required to be always supervised by an adult. To ensure a fair and fun competition, prizes will be awarded across three age categories:

• Under 11s

• 11–17 years

Winning artworks will go on to form part of an art exhibition hosted by Eco Design Consultants in the South Pavilion, offering successful artists the chance to showcase their work in a professional setting.

Alongside the competition, visitors can enjoy a range of creative activities, as well as stalls from charities and arts-focused organisations, making it an ideal day out for families, art lovers and anyone looking to spend time outdoors.
