Inspired by the great outdoors, winners of the first MK Landscape Artist Quest announced

Great Linford Manor Park came alive with colour on Saturday 13 June as The Parks Trust hosted the first MK Landscape Artist Quest, a free outdoor art competition celebrating local talent and the inspiring landscapes of Milton Keynes.

Around 80 people took part in the competition, watched on by hundreds of visitors enjoying the park throughout the day. Artists of all ages created original 2D artworks on site, drawing inspiration from the park’s heritage, wildlife, gardens and landscapes.

The competition was judged across three categories, and after much deliberation the following artists came out on top:

Susan Lovejoy as the Over 18s winner

Nicola Mathews as the 11-17 years winner

Mitakshi Ghosh as the Under 11s winner

All of the artworks can be viewed at theparkstrust.com/landscapeartistwinners and the winning artworks are now on display at Eco Design Consultants. The exhibition in the South Pavilion at Great Linford Manor Park is open to public viewings this week only, 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to midday on Saturday.

Alongside the competition, visitors explored creative stalls, took part in activities and watched as artworks developed across the afternoon, creating a relaxed and welcoming celebration of art, nature and community.

The park was buzzing with creativity from start to finish, and it was incredible to see so many artists and families coming together to celebrate Milton Keynes’ landscapes. We were amazed by the variety of creations and loved seeing people of all ages interpreting the park in such unique and inspiring ways. It was a truly special day that captured the spirit of creativity and community we’re so proud to be a part of.”

The Parks Trust thanks the judges, volunteers, local businesses, artists and attendees who supported the event and helped make the first MK Landscape Artist Quest a success.
