Man sentenced for driving offences – Milton Keynes

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been sentenced for driving offences in Milton Keynes.

Owusu Kwaku Nyantakyi, aged 42, of Underwood Place, Oldbrook, Milton Keynes, pleaded guilty to one count of driving while over the prescribed limit for alcohol , one count of driving whilst disqualified and one count of driving without insurance at Oxford Magistrates Court on Saturday (14/5).


Nyantakyi was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison, 12 weeks for the driving offences and four weeks for a previous suspended sentence.


He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for four years.


The sentence relates to an offence in Linford Wood on Friday (13/5).


Investigating officer, PC Christopher Ruvolo-Jones, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “The defendant in this case chose to drive a motor vehicle knowing he was intoxicated and disqualified from driving.


“He put lives at risk due to his intoxication and I’m glad the court gave him the appropriate sentencing.”
