Milton Keynes City Council is funding a pilot scheme at MK Gallery to inspire people interested in the music production industry.
The funding will enable 50 people to receive six months of membership to The Music Room (TMR) for unrivalled access to workshops held at Milton Keynes Gallery, covering a range of digital skills relevant to music production.
Workshops will cover subjects, including creative music production, audio software and technical skills. TMR is a live music performance platform that promotes music, culture and art. Local performers from diverse communities are actively encouraged to take part.
The investment is part of the City Council’s award winning £3.1m Economic Recovery Plan which has directly funded around 4200 local people and 1100 local businesses so far. During the pandemic, the City Council acted quickly to implement its Plan to ensure businesses and individuals who were disproportionately affected by the pandemic got the right level of support.
