Appeal for witnesses after man in twenties robbed and beaten in Springfield

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Milton Keynes.

Between 10pm and 10.30pm on Friday (24/5), two men approached the victim, a man aged in his twenties, outside the Springfield local shop on Springfield Boulevard, demanding his wallet and car keys.

The victim refused to hand them over, but gave the offenders £20.

One of the offenders then punched the victim in the face and then is believed to have kicked him in the ribs.

However, the victim noticed a hole in his jacket and shirt, and a small puncture wound, so it is now believed he was stabbed with something.

Both offenders are described as black or mixed race men, wearing black facemasks and dressed all in black.

The victim sustained a small puncture wound to his rib area and bruising to his face, but did not receive hospital treatment.

Case investigator Sophie Gibbs, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident or who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage which has captured what happened to please contact Thames Valley Police.

“You can do so by making a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference 43240243718.

“Alternatively, for anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
