An award-winning fish and chip shop in Westcroft is set to celebrate its reopening this Thursday with a special community event featuring 99p chips, family treats, and fundraising for The Henry Allen Trust.

Westfries Fish and Chip Shop, based at Westcroft District Centre, has recently reopened after being forced to close for two months before Christmas due to issues with its gas supply. Now back up and running, the popular takeaway is inviting the local community to join in the celebrations and support a good cause.
Customers will be able to enjoy chips for just 99p throughout the day, while from 5pm there will also be free samples and sweets for children. Mayor James Lancaster is expected to attend, alongside representatives from The Henry Allen Trust, with a raffle taking place to raise much-needed funds for the charity.
Co-owner Cam Tu said: “We have been really busy since reopening and wanted to do something to thank everyone for their support. We hope Thursday evening will be lots of fun, raise some money for charity, and give our community the chance to enjoy a meal that is a little lighter on the pocket, with chips at just 99p.”
She added: “We would also like to thank everyone who supported us during our time of need, including Mayor James Lancaster and Carl Yeomanson Plumbing and Gas Solutions and MK Community Hub.”
The event will take place this Thursday from 5pm at Westfries Fish and Chip Shop, near Morrisons at Westcroft District Centre, 14 Barnsdale Drive, MK4 4DD.
