Beginner Photography Workshop in Milton Keynes - Get 25% Off With Our Exclusive Code!

A new Beginner Photography Workshop is set to take place in Milton Keynes this January, offering a relaxed and practical introduction to photography for complete beginners and those looking to move beyond automatic camera settings.

The workshop will run on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th January 2026, with each session lasting approximately six hours including breaks.

Designed to be friendly, accessible, and jargon-free, the workshop focuses on helping participants understand how to intentionally create photographs rather than relying on guesswork. The sessions combine straightforward classroom learning with guided outdoor shooting, giving attendees the chance to immediately apply what they learn in real-world situations. Topics covered include how aperture, shutter speed, and ISO work together, how to balance exposure, and how to use light creatively to achieve the images participants have been imagining.

The workshop will be led by Dan Grannum, a professional photographer with over 15 years of experience and the founder of Pixel Affiliate. Dan has previously worked with Canon, Jessops Academy, Michelin-star restaurants, and national brands including Marshalls and Santander, alongside a wide range of independent photography projects. His teaching approach focuses on clarity, confidence-building, and practical understanding, making photography approachable for those new to the craft.

Sessions will be based at the National Sound Studio, with nearby outdoor areas used for practical shooting exercises. The workshop is open to anyone with no previous photography experience, and attendees are encouraged to bring any camera they feel comfortable using. DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, bridge cameras, advanced compact cameras, and modern smartphones are all suitable, with recent devices such as iPhone 14+, Pixel 8 Pro+, and Samsung S24+ fully supported. Participants should also bring a memory card and spare batteries.

The cost of the workshop is £89 per person, with limited spaces available to ensure small group learning and plenty of individual guidance. As an exclusive offer, MK Community Hub followers can receive 25% off the workshop price by using the discount code MK25CH at checkout. Lunch is not included, and places are expected to fill quickly due to high demand.
