Milton Keynes City Centre is gearing up for its annual Christmas lights switch-on event this Saturday, 22nd November - and the full festive line-up has now been confirmed.

The free outdoor celebration, taking place in The Point car park, will bring an afternoon of music, dance, comedy and community, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display as the city lights up for Christmas.
From 3pm, comedy elves will be roaming the crowd to entertain early visitors before the main show begins. At 4pm, returning host and internationally recognised magician David Allen will take to the stage to welcome audiences and kickstart the festivities.
The programme of performances begins with the children of Christ the Sower Primary School, followed at by local performing arts school Arts1, who will bring a Frozen medley and a high-energy tap dance number from Elf. Audiences will then be treated to jazz and swing classics from local singer Ollie Corbett, before the much-loved Milton Keynes Rock Choir take to the stage.
The Evil Ringmaster from this year’s Milton Keynes Theatre pantomime, Goldilocks & the Three Bears, will stop by for a chat before being joined by Father Christmas himself at 5.20pm for the official countdown. Together, they will light up Central Milton Keynes - including Midsummer Boulevard, Midsummer Place, 12th Street and the brand-new Christmas tree outside Milton Keynes Theatre and MK Gallery - all funded by City Centre businesses.
The evening will finish with a huge fireworks display lighting up the sky, marking the start of the festive season in Milton Keynes.
