Local Scout Hall Asks For Repair Work Help

1st Wolverton Scout Group are trying to raise money for some much needed repairs to the roof of their home in Milton Keynes.

The building itself 84 years old and it plays a pivotal role within the local community.

Treasurer, Katrina Witham, who has set up the fundraiser told us, ''It’s where we hold our Beaver, Cubs and Scout meetings. We also rent it out for other local groups/charities to meet. It would therefore be a shame if the hall were too close due to the roof not being safe.''

Katrina sent up a GoFundMe page to accept donations but she has also other plans to help raise funds too.

''I’m keen to raise funds by collecting donations to sell online it at our next jumble sale (COVID restrictions permitting). Absolutely every donation (large or small) will help us reach our goal.

If you are able to make a donation of any size, please do click here.

Your support will be gratefully appreciated by all of those within the community who rely on this community centre as a real beating heart of the community.
