Colleagues working on Morrisons pizza counters will each prepare 30 kits per day which will then be distributed to local schools and community groups to help support families in need via Morrisons Community Champions.
Each kit contains all the ingredients you need to make the perfect home pizza. It includes Dough, Tomato Sauce, Grates Cheese and either peppers and sweetcorn or pepperoni and ham, depending on whether families choose the veggie or meat option.
The kit also comes with cooking instructions and a recipe card which makes life that little bit easier when preparing the pizza. It's also something fun to do with the children.
Every recipient of the pizza kit will also be given the opportunity to win £100 worth of Morrisons vouchers.
Sian Ayling, Head of Food To Go at Morrisons, said: “We want to ensure that as many children as possible have access to the food they need over the half term break, which is why we’re offering these pizza kits to those who need them in our local communities and would encourage as many people as possible to get involved with our competition."
The move follows Morrisons announcement in January that it had set aside a further £5million worth of food supplies to help keep the nation’s food banks stocked up this year, adding to that £10million it delivered last year.
Well done Morrisons for your continued support within the community and thank you, it really helps to make a difference in these difficult times.
