Open air theatre is back this summer near Milton Keynes

Quirky outdoor venue, The Arches Theatre, opens with another jam-packed summer season of live theatre and music on 27th July 2023.

The unique venue in the small village of Clifton Reynes takes its name from the four beautiful disused railway arches used to stage exciting live theatre and music over the summer months.

As always there will be something for everyone, from family performances and Shakespeare to live music, comedy and much more.

Audiences are invited to bring a picnic and immerse themselves in captivating live performances, including the fast-paced and laughs a minute whodunnit ‘The 39 Steps’ with new theatre company Underneath The Arches; a gallop through Greek mythology with The Last Baguette’s ‘Pandora’s Jar Box’; an exciting trip down the rabbit hole with DOT Productions and ‘Alice in Wonderland; plus a double dose of Shakespeare from British Touring Shakespeare with ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ with Shakespeare Circus.

Live music comes from Shades of Simon, a refreshingly new 5-piece band presenting their highly acclaimed show in tribute to Paul Simon.

Owner and Artistic Director, David Pibworth, said: “We’re now in our sixth year and we are excited to bring another summer of fantastic live theatre to our outdoor venue.

“Supporting local and professional theatre troupes and musicians is very important to us, as is bringing incredible theatre and culture to our local community for everyone to enjoy.

“We’re proud to continue creating a unique experience that you won't get elsewhere within Buckinghamshire. So come and unpack your picnic, pop open your Prosecco and prepare to be wowed!”
