Now entering its fourth year, Sophie’s Street Feast has established itself as a must-attend highlight of the local events calendar, drawing over 3,500 visitors in 2025. Since the first event in 2023, the event has raised over £10,000 for local causes. This year, alongside host partner charity Toybox, the event will also be supporting NutriTroops through the 5 On It Foundation.

NutriTroops is a free children’s health and well-being initiative that combines physical activity, nutrition education, and storytelling to help children build healthy habits for life. Using interactive games, story-driven challenges, community events, holiday camps and clubs, NutriTroops encourages children to move more, eat well, and understand how food and activity fuel their bodies and minds.

The 5 On It Foundation is a community organisation based in Milton Keynes, delivering free activities designed to create positive opportunities for young people using sport, creativity, and mentorship. Founded by Team GB Olympian Peter Bakare and local pro athletes Stacy Lloyd, Kai Williams, Nigel Lloyd and Jordan Spencer, the Foundation works with schools, councils, and community partners to deliver inclusive and accessible programmes that support confidence, teamwork, and positive life skills.

Together, NutriTroops and the 5 On It Foundation work to make health, movement, and learning fun and engaging for children and families across Milton Keynes and beyond.

Toybox, based in Bletchley, has over 30 years of international experience in positively changing the lives of vulnerable street children and families. Working alongside dedicated and experienced local partners, with a mission to end the global injustice of children living and working on the streets across the world. The organisation works to support marginalised children who are abused by those who should be protecting them. Toybox follows a child-centred approach that focuses on the child and then works to empower their families, communities, and society to change lives positively.

Every meal enjoyed at Sophie’s Street Feast will help support the work of these incredible charities.

Peter Bakare, Olympian, and founder of NutriTroops and 5 On It Foundation said:

“I got into sport through monks who came from the Bronx in New York who set up a local food bank in East London, so I experienced first-hand the power of food and community coming together. Sophie’s Street Feast is a brilliant example of how food, community and purpose can create something truly positive.

We’re proud for NutriTroops and the 5 On It Foundation to be part of an event that not only celebrates local culture, but also supports children and families through fun, active and inclusive experiences. Through NutriTroops, we want to help children see food, movement and play as something exciting and empowering and we’re excited to bring that energy to such a loved local event”

Event founder and content creator, Sophie Neal, commented:

“Sophie’s Street Feast brings together community and food - we are so proud to have created a highly anticipated event that supports children and young people not just in Milton Keynes, but worldwide. 2025 was a huge success, so we are determined to make 2026 even better! And we need the support of businesses and food lovers to make it happen.”

Lynne Morris OBE, Toybox CEO, added:

"Sophie’s Street Feast has grown into such a joyful celebration of everything community events can achieve. It brings people together over incredible food while shining a light on the realities faced by street children around the world. We’re delighted to be part of the event once again this year, and especially pleased to be joining forces with 5 On It and NutriTroops, whose inspiring work with children and families here in Milton Keynes reflects the values we hold so close at Toybox.”
