Stony Stratford is nearly ready for the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The flags are flying all around the town and red, white and blue bunting is decorating the High Street and many of the little courts and arcades nearby.
Stony Stratford’s Business Association is behind the display which will include flowering summer hanging baskets very soon too. Judging by the complimentary posts on the town’s social media groups, the decorative scheme is very popular.
“Everyone felt so happy to see the bunting and flags go up again; it’s really lifted spirits here and you can see that by the smiles on people’s faces,” said one delighted resident.
