UPDATE: Six fire engines and crews from Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service and Bedfordshire, along with a turntable ladder crew and four officers, are continuing to deal with a fire at a single-storey recycling unit in Newton Leys.

The incident has led to multiple calls to the Thames Valley Fire Control Service, with a large volume of smoke visible across surrounding areas.

Firefighters are using main jets and water delivered from the turntable ladder to tackle the blaze. Crews are also using positive pressure ventilation fans to help manage smoke conditions at the scene.

Residents are advised to keep doors and windows closed and to be aware of possible disruption.

Smoke may affect visibility on local roads while emergency services continue to respond.
