Bletchley & Fenny Stratford Town Council have had to cancel their Family Fun Day due to UK weather warnings
The Town Council took to social media to confirm the cancellation.
''We are extremely disappointed to tell you that the Festive Family Fun Day, planned for Saturday 27th November 2021, has been cancelled due to the severe weather warnings about Storm Arwen.
This decision has not been made lightly. The Town Council was looking forward to bringing a big community event to Queensway this year and we had lots of exciting attractions planned for all the family. However public safety is the paramount consideration and the strong likelihood of high winds means we cannot go ahead. The same decision has been made by several of our neighbouring communities and councils.
The Town Council hopes to bring alternative events to Queensway in the future and we are very sorry that people will be disappointed this weekend.''
