Milton Keynes Roller Dance Club Add to their Medal Collection

Milton Keynes Roller Dance Club took an impressive team of eight with them to the Elite South West Skating Festival in Gloucester on Sunday 18th August 2024.

Three of the team skated in the Newcomer event, Neve Kelly, Sammy Chambers, and Stephanie Herring. It was Sammy’s first competition, and he Glide Waltzed his way through his two dances to come third and win a Bronze medal.

Next up was our Tots British Champion Demi Chapman, who skated the City Blues and Canasta Tango with perfection, to win Gold. Demi then took part in the Travel Challenge, completing a series of Travels in a 10 second time limit, for which she won a Silver medal.

Demi Chapman, Mahi Mishra and Stephanie Herring then skated their Free Dances, with Demi collecting another Silver medal, and Mahi winning a Bronze medal.

Millie Howe skated the Bachata and Killian dances, winning a Silver medal, followed up by another Silver medal for her fantastic effort in her category of the Travel Challenge.

Leona Lovelace and Julie Molloy then skated the City Blues and Canasta Tango dances, with Leona picking up a well deserved Silver medal.

A total collection of eight medals and one trophy were won by our Roller Dance squad, a really healthy and well deserved result for our team who train very hard over multiple training sessions every week, all year round.
